Straight From France
Dear Friends,Formula 1 is a really strange sport, isn’t it? The place where we thought we were going to do well, Magny Cours, we didn’t. On the other hand, the opposite is also true, like it was in Canada where we even scored.
In France, we weren’t able to find the best set up. When the car was good at the high speed corners, it was not good at the slow ones. When it was good for the slow corners it would understeer.
The situation remained the same all weekend.
On Sunday, I found out that the gearbox was going to have to be changed and therefore I would have to start last. Well, it was actually as bad as starting off 17th.
During the race, nothing changed and although I was able to come in 14th, the car was still really bad.
This week will be the race in Silverstone, one of my favorite tracks. The practice in Silverstone was really good last week so we’ll have to wait and see.
Take care,
Rubens Barrichello
